1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Meeting called to order at 1:00 p.m. at the City Council
Conference Room, 535 Encinitas Boulevard.
Present: Couglar, Hano, Kauflin, Rollman, Tobias
Patrick S. Murphy, Director of Community Development
2. NEW BUSINESS
Community Design Guidelines of the General Plan program
comments from Community Advisory Board members included:
0 Ultimately a priority list is needed for under
grounding to establish a systematic approach.
0 Community Advisory Board members agreed to not
support organizational logo attachments to community
signs.
0 Suggest that the proposed Design Guidelines be
4IÞ utilized when evaluating developments until adopted.
0 Item "h" under Leucadia Commercial Design Standards
be incorporated into Old Encinitas.
0 Establish a policy that encourages public art as
reviewed and approved through the appropriate
agencies.
0 Incorporate Goal 4 within Leucadia Commercial Design
Standards within Old Encinitas.
0 Incorporate Leucadia policies f and g relative to
wood signs into Old Encinitas.
Buck Smith feels that all of the sphere of influence roads be
incorporated into the Design Guidelines. In addition, he
suggests that one map identify all road standards, bike lanes
and recreation trails.
