. 8. BUSINESS
A. Review and discussion of tree plantings on the southern
portion of El Camino Real.
The Board decided that the list of acceptable street
trees should be limited to indigenous, drought tolerant
species. It was suggested that the trees be planted by
civic/volunteer groups. Care and maintenance for the
trees would be provided by the Girl Scouts during the
first year, "Encinitas for Trees" during the second
year, and Public Works to assume responsibility after
two years - when the trees are firmly established.

Motion: Board Member Beck - To adjourn at 9:35 P.M. to the
next regularly scheduled meeting of this community
Advisory Board to be held November 5, 1990.
