Associate Planner Linda Niles informed the Community Advisory
Board members that there would be a New Encinitas Community
Advisory Board meeting on September 18 and no meeting on
September 4 due to the Labor Day holiday.

8 Motion: Board Member White - To continue the application to
Community Advisory Board I Hearing on September 18, 1989 to
allow the applicant to return with the following:
1) A reciprocal parking agreement with the adjacent
commercial properties to the south and east; 2) To return with
a proposal for pedestrian access from the site to the easterly
adjacent property as was required from the adjacent easterly
property (sterk project) to the west (the Great American site
or the site to the south of that); 3) To review the
feasibility of a pedestrian access from north to south on-site
to connect with the walk-way by the tool store to the south;
4} Verify the siting of the trees on the east property line
and show an updated site plan for the existing landscaping;
and 5} Make the corrections to the blue line elevations and
sign plans showing changes proposed to the materials and
colors for the signing. The resubmitted information needs to
be received by September 1, 1989 in order to be included on
the September 18th meeting.

10. BUSINESS FROM THE COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD AND DISCUSSION OF
CHARACTERISTICS AND OBJECTIVES UNIQUE TO THE COMMUNITY.
Member Board requested that staff review the following:
- Herman Cook lot and fencing on El Camino Real;
- Camino Village Plaza painting;
- lighting at Red Richies's Ford to ensure it is in
conformance- with the appropriate zoning code. Also,
check the landscaping;
- the landscaping at EI PolIo Loco/Jiffy Lube; and
. - the monument sign announcing New Encinitas at the corner
of El Camino Real and Olivenhain Road

next regularly scheduled meeting of this Community
Advisory Board to be held September 18, 1989.
