2. COMMUNITY IDENTIFICATION
- Try to consider a monument City sign on the freeway to
identify the City of Encinitas, not necessarily an exit.
- Need to consider sign I.D. for Manchester at El Camino
Real. Three Community Advisory Board areas meet at this
location.
- Board member Quinn felt that the type of City entrance
sign is appropriate for New Encinitas.
- City street signs would reflect each community and could
coordinate with the mailing address. The communities
might be coordinated with the mailing address.
3. DESIGN GUIDELINES STREETS
- Reviewed tree heights, maintenance and like.
- Reviewed street sections of El Camino Real and Encinitas
Boulevard.

- Sidewalks need to occur on both sides of E1 Camino Real
and Encinitas Boulevard.
8 4. DESIGN GUIDELINES COMMERCIAL
- Type of lighting is important to relate to pedestrian,
i.e., lower level 1amping 8' height.
- Board member Bagg doesn't believe that the area is a
western theme on E1 Camino Real.
- Uniformity and consistency to be within the public right-
of-way.
- Signs need to be lit.
