9. Community Advisory Board Comments

The Public Hearing on Community Character was opened and the
following Board Members were heard:

The following issues were identified during the public
hearing:
- Pedestrian paths - Safe Route to School
- Drainage problems
- Grading Ordinance - reference to illegal grading
- Dark Skies ordinance for Leucadia
- Advertisement of public hearings - notices to people
within a 300 foot radius is inadequate.
Motion: Board Member Karen Kaden - To set the Dark Skies
discussion on a future Leucadia community Advisory
Board agenda with a minimum number of items.

9. COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD/PLANNER REPORTS
Informational Items - No action to be taken.
Assistant Planner Jones stated that the Planning Commission
approved the condominium conversion application of Cairncross,
89-184 TM by 2-1 (Dean dissenting). The impact of converting
potential low-to-moderate affordable housing was not an issue
of concern at this time and the Commission determined that
there would be no significant change in the number of rental
housing stock created by this conversion.
