3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS/ANNOUNCEMENTS
A. Recommendations for nominations to the Planning
Commission. Staff tallied the vote as submitted on the
first ballot and announced that the following candidates
had been recommended:
1) Bill Dean
2) Dennis Holtz
3) David Herskowitz
(Staff later discovered that the vote tally was in error
and set the second ballot voting on January 18, 1990
prior to regular meeting; all concerned parties have been
notified by staff.)
8 B. Presentation of Public Road Standards by Ted Schade,
Public Works Representative. The Leucadia Community
Advisory Board has reaffirmed their recommendation to the

8 Public Works Department and the City Council to support
the retention of a 40 foot right-of-way for Neptune
Avenue, increase the opportunity of pedestrian activity
and address the main streets such as Leucadia Boulevard.
The Leucadia Community Advisory Board also stated the
need for a special meeting in February to discuss road
standard in greater depth.

DESCRIPTION: Design Review to allow roof projections
outside the standard height envelope and
a variance to allow a 10' building
encroachment into the required 20' front
yard setback.
ENVIRONMENTAL
STATUS: Exempt per Section 15303a of CEQA.
Motion: Board Member Harwood - To approve 89-215 DR and to
deny 89-215V without prejudice, based on the
findings contained in the attached resolution. The
Community Advisory Board would like to note that the
board is in support of the 40 foot right-of-way
which may allow the applicant to build the
deck/garage without the need for a variance.

BOARD
Motion: Board Member Eldon - To approve the minutes of
December 7,1989 with the following revisions: Show
Board Member Douglas Harwood as present on Item 5
A, approving the minutes of September 7 and November
9, 1989. Include in Shur's motion on Item 7A that
the approval of 88-326 TPM/EIA was to show 12 single
family lots with 2 open space lots, show that Sheila
Locko voted in opposition to the motion approving
Case No. 89-195 MIN (U.S. West Cellular).

CHARACTERISTICS AND OBJECTIVES UNIQUE TO THE COMMUNITY.
The Leucadia Community Advisory Board would like to have a
opportunity at a future meeting to discuss specific issues
relating to characteristics that are unique to the Leucadia
Community.

Motion: Board Member Kaden - To adjourn at 10:05 PM to the
next regularly scheduled meeting of this community
Advisory Board to be held January 18, 1990.
