I. COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD/DIRECTOR REPORTS
Information Items -- No discussion or action to be taken
2. Review city council actions from the meetings of February
16 and 23,1994; and Planning commission actions from the
meetings of February 3, 10, 17 and 28, 1994 and March 1,
and 3, 1994. Contact Person: Diane Langager.
Planning Aide Hodgkiss reviewed past Council and
Commission actions with the Board.
J. BUSINESS
3. General Discussion and Review of the 1993-94 Annual
General Plan Review regarding the city-initiated Plan
Amendment and Rezone Request for property located at
1144-1160 North Highway 101; the request is to change the
current land use designation of Residential 8.01-11. 0
du/acre and zone classification of Residential 11 (R-11)
to a designation and classification of General Commercial
(GC): Applicant: City of Encinitas: Case No. 93-159
8 GPA/EIA. Contact Person: Brett Hodgkiss or craig Jones.
Board members expressed concerns about the reduced
setbacks allowed in the GC zone, and how the reduced
setbacks could impact the adjacent residential property
to the west. At the conclusion of the discussion, the
Board unanimously concurred with the proposed General
Plan Amendment and zone change to General commercial, GC.
K. ADJOURNMENT
Meeting to be adjourned to the next regularly scheduled
meeting to be held Thursday, April 7, 1994.
Motion: Board Member Eldon - To adjourn the meeting at 7:18
P.M. to the next regularly scheduled meeting of this community
Advisory Board to be held April 7, 1994.
