DESCRIPTION: Variance request from the required 25'
rear yard setback to 18' and var iance
from the required lot coverage standard
of 40% to 42.3% for a proposed addition
to a single family residence.
ENVIRONMENTAL
STATUS: Exempt per section 15301(e) of CEQA.
Motion: Board Member Beck - To make the required findings and
approve the variance request as condition by staff to allow an
addition to an existing residence to encroach 5' into the
required 25' rear yard setback with an additional 2'
encroachment for a bay window structure. Condition as agreed
to by applicant to reduce square footage of existing storage
shed to comply with 40% lot coverage standard.

DESCRIPTION: Variance request to allow a wall sign to
exceed the required 1: 1 ratio and
modification to an existing sign program
at the Wiegand Plaza Shopping Center.
ENVIRONMENTAL
STATUS: Exempt per section 15311(a) of CEQA.
Motion: Board Member Weaver - To make the required findings
and approve the variance application as conditioned by staff
with the following additional conditions:
1. Any future signs adjacent to the Nail Faker are to
. be of the same proportion as the Nail Faker.

their existing signs must be obtained in writing

obtaining the building permit for the subject sign.
2. The architecture over the existing middle window is
. to be preserved, and the crown, located above the
window, is to be reduced in size to accommodate the
space between the window and the top band.

8. COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD/PLANNER REPORTS
Informational Items - No action to be taken.
Assistant Planner Olson informed the CAB of the following
items:
1. The Land Use Decision making process was continued
at the February 26, 1992 City council meeting to
the Council's meeting on March 18, 1992;
. 2. The Home Depot EIR review period ends March 6,
1992, all comments will be forwarded to the
Environmental Consultant, Connie Williams;
3. Warmington Homes sign appeal to be considered by
the Planning Commission at its March 13, 1992
meeting.
9. BUSINESS
Selection of Chair, Vice-Chair and Arbitration Committee
Member and Vice-Arbitration Committee Member.
a) On a motion by Board Member Weaver, seconded by
Board Member Wilkey, cindy Beck was unanimously
nominated Chairman of the N.E. CAB.
b) On a motion made by Board Member Beck, seconded by
Board Member Weaver, Virginia Felker was
unanimously nominated Vice-Chair of the N.E. CAB.
c) On a motion made by Board Member Beck, seconded by
Board Member Felker, Robert Weaver was unanimously
nominated Arbitration Committee Member.
. d) On a motion made by Board Member Beck, seconded by
Board Member Felker, Roscoe Wilkey was unanimously
nominated Vice-Arbitration Committee Member.

10. ADJOURNMENT
Motion: Board Member Weaver - To adjourn at 7:55 P.M. to
the next regularly scheduled meeting of this
. community Advisory Board to be held April 6, 1992.
