2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
. 3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS/ANNOUNCEMENTS
Chairperson Beck presented Anne Patton with a Resolution of
Appreciation, and thanked Ms. Patton for her time and work on
the New Encinitas CAB. Greg Grajek was also recognized for
his time and work on the New Encinitas and his resolution of
appreciation will be sent to him.
5. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
Ms. Mary Ann Freeman spoke to the New Encinitas CAB about the
installation of cable TV utility boxes adjacent to her
property without the knowledge of the homeowners. Ms. Freeman
suggested that perhaps a vault-type utility box would be less
obtrusive than the existing large boxes. Ms. Freeman was
requested to contact Craig Olson during office hours to
discuss any applicable City regulations regarding the
placement of utility boxes.
6. CLOSING AND ADOPTION OF CONSENT CALENDAR
A. Approval of Minutes from the meeting of: March 2, 1992
Motion: Board Member Weaver - To accept and adopt the
Consent Calendar.

6. COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD/PLANNER REPORTS
Informational Items - No action to be taken.
Assistant Planner Olson reported the following City Council
and Planning Commission activities to the N.E. CAB:
- The City Council will hold a public hearing for the land
use decision-making process on May 20, 1992.
- The Planning Commission upheld the New Encinitas decision
of denial for off-site signage for the approved
Warmington homes subdivision.
7. BUSINESS
A. Planning Director Report and CAB discussion of proposed
changes to Land Use Decision Making Process.
The New Encinitas CAB voted by Minute Motion to recommend
that the City Council (at their May 20 meeting) schedule
a future joint meeting for all CAB Members, the Planning
. Commissioners, and the City Council to discuss the Land
Use Decision Making Process. The New Encinitas CAB also
recommended that the Procedure "G" and Attachment "A"
issues identified in the April 6th letters submitted by
the "Encinitas Congress" be placed on the agenda for
discussion purposes at the future joint meeting; if
scheduled by City Council.
B. Designation of Board Member(s) interested in serving on
the Ecke Specific Plan Task Force.
Members of the New Encinitas CAB that are interested in
serving on the Ecke Specific Plan Task Force are: Cindy
Beck, Roscoe Wilkey, Ron Edde and Virginia Felker.
Members Beck and Wilkey have approximately two years left
on their appointments.
8. ADJOURNMENT
Motion: Board Member Felker - To adjourn at 8:55 P.M. to
the next regularly scheduled meeting of this
Community Advisory Board to be held June 1, 1992.
Vote: Ayes - Beck, Edde, Felker, Weaver, Wilkey
