Motion: Board Member Edde - To accept and adopt the
Consent Calendar with the Minutes as presented by staff.
Second: Board Member Van Reusen.

G. REGULAR AGENDA
. 1. Continued public hearing to consider a Design Review
Permit request for construction of a single story, 66,700
square foot retail center and Minor Use Permit and Sign
Program for a proposed monument sign to exceed the eight
foot height standard to 12 feet and for coordination of
all signs within the center for property having 7.85 net
acres and located in the General Commercial (GC) Zoning
District.
Noticed public hearing to consider a related application
for a Tentative Parcel Map to subdivide the subject
property into four commercial parcels and a Variance
request to allow for a zero setback from the proposed
interior side yard property line between two proposed
structures. An Environmental Initial Assessment has been
completed for the project proposal. Applicant:
Nottingham Associates / Circuit City. Location: 333 N.
El Camino Real. Case No.: 94-145 DR/MIN/SPRG and 94-191
TPM/V. Contact planner: Assistant Planner Olson.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Receive public testimony and
determine if the Findings for project approval can be
made as recommended by staff. Approve the Tentative
Parcel Map, Variance, Design Review Permit, Minor Use
. permi t, and Sign Program applications with the conditions
recommended by staff or as may be amended by the Board.
Motion: Board Member Edde - To make the findings and
adopt the Resolution of Approval with the followinc¡
additional conditions:
1. Item F.2 of the Sic¡n Program (page 6) shall be
revised with the followinc¡ underlined text to read:
"Except as provided herein and for siqns to
identify hours of oDeration. buildinq address.
etc., no advertising placards, banners, pennants,
names, insignia, trademarks, or other descriptive
material, shall be affixed or maintained upon
either the interior or exterior of the glass panes
and supports of the show windows and doors, or upon
the exterior walls of the buildings unless such
siqns are apDroved by the City Dursuant to
MuniciDal Code Siqn Standards in effect at the time
of aDDlication for Dermit(s) from the city."
2. Revisions to the location of the Pad "A" stand
alone structure and to the entry drive to El Camino
Real to align with the access to the commercial
center to the west may be approved by the City
