RESOLUTION NO. 89-3..1
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CARDIFF SANITATION DISTRICT
8 APPROVING THE AMENDMENT TO THE BASIC AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CARDIFF SANITATION DISTRICT
AND THE SOLANA BEACH SANITATION DISTRICT
ESTABLISHING A JOINT POWERS AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, on June 17, 1987, the Solana Beach Sanitation
District and the Cardiff Sanitation District entered into that
certain agreement entitled Agreement Between Cardiff
Sanitation District and Solana Beach Sanitation District
Establishing A Joint Powers Authority (JPA) for the Operation,
Maintenance, Construction, Upgrade and Expansion of a Joint
Sewage System;
WHEREAS, the JPA is in the process of joining the San
Diego Pooled Insurance Program Authority (SANDPIPA) and the
lnsurance administrators have requested that the JPA clarify
its policy pertaining to the sharing of casualty loss
liability;
WHEREAS, the Amendment to the Basic Agreement clarifies
the manner in which the sharing and payment of casualty losses
incurred by the JPA will be handled.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of
Directors of the Cardiff Sanitation District support the
8' Amendment to the Basic Agreement between the Cardiff Sanitation
District and the Solana Beach Sanitation District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of April by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Gaines, Hano, Omsted, Slater
NAYES: None
ABSENT: Shea
