by Director L?~Slt~ , the following resolution
is adopted by the Board of Directors of the Cardiff
Sanitation District .
WHEREAS, the annual budget for the Cardiff Sanitation District
for Fiscal Year 1986-87, as approved by the Board of Directors
does not include funds for emergency repair work to the San Elijo
Ocean Outfall, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that rock ballast which supports
the ocean outfall pipeline has been significantly removed by ocean
currents and storms, to the extent that imminent failure to the
outfall pipeline exists, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors finds it is in the public
8, interest that an appropriation of $106,350 be made from the District's
replacement reserve fund;
NOW THEREFORE
IT IS RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED as follows:
1. That the Board of Directors of the Cardiff Sanitation
District hereby declares that an emergency condition exists on
the San Elijo Ocean Outfall.
2. That an appropriation of $106,350 be made from the District
replacement reserve fund for expenditures to restore the outfall
pipeline to a safe condition.
