A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CARDIFF SANITATION DISTRICT REGARDING
THE DISPOSAL OF HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS MATERIALS
On Motion of Director Gaines , seconded by Director
Luke the following resolution is adopted.
WHEREAS, the safe disposal of Hazardous Materials is a serious
health issue in the Cardiff Sanitation District;
WHEREAS, the identification and proper disposal of Hazardous
Materials is a Public issue requiring education of the Public,
WHEREAS, the County Department of Health Services has offered to
dispose of Household Hazardous materials from the City of Encinitas,
WHEREAS, the San Elijo Water Pollution Control Facility has space
available to receive Household Hazardous Materials, and to allow
Health Service Officers to provide public awareness and Public
Education on Household Hazardous Materials.
8¡ NOW, therefore be it resolved that the Board of Directors of the
Cardiff Sanitation District Supports a program to prov id e a "Safe
Disposal of Household Hazardous Material Week", and authorize the use
of the San Elijo WPCF Site for a transfer station for Hazardous
Materials.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of February , 1987, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: Chairman Rick Shea, Board Members Marjorie Gaines, Greg Luke,
Anne Omsted, and Gerald Steel
