. MINUTES OF CARDIFF SANITATION DISTRICT SPECIAL MEETING

Chairperson Davis called the meeting to order at 6:02 P.M.
Present: Chairperson John Davis, Board Members Lou Aspen, James Bond, ChuckDu Vivier
and Gail Hano.
Absent: Nolle.
Also District Manager Wasserman, Assistant District Attorney Krauel, Assistant District
Present: Manager Benson, Board Clerk Cervone, Public Works Director Nelson, Deputy Board
Clerk Greene.
There being a quorum present, the meeting was in order.

AGENDA ITEM

Public Works Director Nelson stated that the San Diego County Water Authority had an advisory
committee to advise it on matters relating to reclaimed water, repurified water and reclaimed/repurified
water projects that qualify for SDCW A financial incentives. In the past, the District had been
represented on W ARAC by San Elijo JP A Board and staff representatives. The District had not
appointed a specific person to solely represem the District.
Mr. Nelson said that at the March 14. 199.6, the SEJPABoard of Directors would meet to consider
appointment of its representatives to W AB,AC and it was appropriate for the Cardiff Sanitation District
Board to consider whether it wanted to give direction to its representatives on the SEJP A Board and
whether it wanted to be represented directly.
The San Dieguito Water District representative to the SDCW A Board of Directors was. an "ad hoc"
. member ofW ARAC, but did not attend on a regular basis.

. There was Board consensus that the Cardiff .Sanitation District take no action regarding the
appointment of a representative to the W ARAC Advisory Committee, however, the San Dieguito
Water District Board of Directors and the San Elijo Joint Powers Authority Board of Directors will
make appointments to the W ARAC Advisory Committee.
