1994-08 Rental Voucher Program RESOLUTION NO 94-08
RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF ENCINITAS
AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF
HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT IN RESPONSE TO THE NOTICE OF FUNDING
AVAILABILITY FOR RENTAL VOUCHER AND CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
has issued a Notice of Funding Availability for the Rental Voucher
Program and the Rental Certificate Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has established the Housing
Authority under the Health and Safety Code of the State of
California for the purpose of providing safe, sanitary, and decent
affordable housing; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has adopted as part of a
Five Year Plan the implementation of a rental assistance program
under 24 CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) parts 882 and 887
(Section 8);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners
of the Housing Authority of the City of Encinitas that the
application submission with its required certificates is hereby
authorized; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Executive Director (Secretary
of the Board) is hereby identified as the official representative
of the Housing Authority to submit the application, all
certifications and assurances contained therein, and such
additional information as may be required.
