APRIL 28, 1999, 6:30 P.M., 505 SOUTH VULCAN AVENUE
CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Chairperson DuVivier called the meeting to order at 7:20 P.M.
Present: Chairperson Chuck DuVivier, Board Members Sheila Cameron, Christy Guerin,
Dennis Holz, and Lu Mohler.
Absent: Board Member Bond.
Also Interim Board Secretary Acker, Interim Board Attorney Sabine, Board Clerk
Present: Cervone, Assistant Board Manager Benson, Housing and Grants Analyst
Guimond, Deputy Board Clerk Greene.
There being a quorum present, the meeting was in order.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
None.
REGULAR AGENDA:
H1. Amendment to the Section 8 Administrative Plan requiring new rental assistance
participants to lease a unit within Encinitas during the initial year of assistance.
Contact Person: Housing & Grants Analyst Guimond.
Housing and Grants Analyst Guimond reviewed the staff repor~ and stated the staff
recommendation was to adopt the amendment to the Section 8 Administrative Plan.
ACTION:
Holz moved, Guerin seconded to approve the staff recommendation to adopt the
amendment to the Section 8 Administrative Plan. Motion carried. Ayes: Cameron,
DuVivier, Guerin, Holz, Mohler; Nays: None. Absent: Bond.

Update and Report on Oceanside's Regional Housing Meeting by Housin~ Authority Chair
DuVivier.

04/28/99 Regular Housing Authority Meeting
Chairperson DuVivier presented a brief report on the North County Housing Summit, held on
February 24, 1999. Mr. DuVivier stated the main focus of the summit was related to the lack of
affordable housing in North San Diego County.
Housing and Grants Analyst Guerin stated an interim task force had been established to discuss
the problem of affordable housing in North San Diego County and the task force would be
looking at practical solutions to try and solve the housing problems.

None.
