Meeting called by notice pursuant to G. C. Section 54956.
CALL TO ORDER ROLL CALl,
Chairperson Hano called the meeting to order at 6:43 P.M.
Present: Chairperson Gail Hano, Board Members James Bond, John
Davis, Chuck DuVivier, and Maura Wiegand.
Absent: None.
Also Secretary Wasserman, Board Attorney Krauel, Board Clerk
Pool, Assistant City Manager Benson, Community
Development Director Holder, Housing Coordinator Brown,
Senior Office Specialist Greene.
There being a quorum present, the meeting was in order.

Wiegand moved, Davis seconded to close and adopt the Consent
Calendar. Motion carried. Ayes: Bond, Davis, DuVivier, Hano,
Wiegand; Nays: None.

Consideration of Staffinq ODtions for Section 8 Rental
Assistance Proqram. Contact Person: Housinq Coordinator
Brown.
Housing Coordinator Brown stated that on July 27, 1994, the Board
approved applying for Section 8 Vouchers under the Notice of
Funding Availability offered by the U.S. Department of Housing and
Urban Development (HUD). On October 21, 1994, HUD notified the
Housing Authority (EHA) that the application had been approved for
50 vouchers with an annual contract of $380,800.
Ms. Brown stated four options available to the Board regarding the
selection for implementing the Section 8 Rental Assistance Program
and recommended the Board choose Option #4 which was to have the
Housing Authority contract with the City of Encinitas for a City
employee.
DuVivier moved, Wiegand seconded to choose Option #4 to have the
Housing Authority contract with the City for a City employee.
Motion carried. Ayes: Bond, DuVivier, Hano, Wiegand; Nays:
Davis.
