A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENCINITAS, CALIFORNIA
ESTABLISHING ALL-WAY STOP CONTROL AT THE INTERSECTION OF LA COSTA
AVENUE AND SHERIDAN ROAD
WHEREAS, the City Council is empowered to determine the location for Stop Signs
within the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that establishing an All-Way Stop Control
(AWSC) at the intersection of La Costa Avenue and Sheridan Road would slow traffic and
create gaps in the flow of traffic thereof allowing easier ingress and egress at Sheridan Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this action is exempt from the provisions of
the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15301(c) of the CEQA
Guidelines, as a minor alternation to a public facility, involving negligible or no expansion of the
existing use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Encinitas that an All-Way Stop Control (AWSC) shall be established at the intersection of La
Costa Avenue and Sheridan Road.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of January 2024 by the City
Council of the City of Encinitas, State of California.
