2021-084 Authorizing Execute Applications to Office of Emergency Services RESOLUTION 2021-84
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENCINITAS, CALIFORNIA,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, FINANCE DIRECTOR OR THE FIRE CHIEF TO
EXECUTE APPLICATIONS TO THE CALIFORNIA GOVERNOR'S OFFICE OF EMERGENCY
SERVICES FOR OBTAINING CERTAIN FEDERAL FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND/OR
STATE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IN THE EVENT OF A DECLARED DISASTER
WHEREAS, the City of Encinitas, a public entity established under the laws of the State
of California, hereby authorizes its agent(s) to provide to the California Governor's Office of
Emergency Services for all matters pertaining to such state disaster assistance the assurances
and agreements required.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Encinitas that:
the City Manager, the Finance Director, or the Fire Chief is hereby authorized to execute for and
on behalf of the City of Encinitas, a public entity established under the laws of the State of
California, applications and to file them in the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services
for the purpose of obtaining certain federal financial assistance under Public Law 93-288 as
amended by the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act of 1988, and/or
state financial assistance under the California Disaster Assistance Act; and
PASSED, APPROVED,AND ADOPTED this 181h day of August 2.021 by the City Council
of the City of Encinitas, State of California.
