A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ENCINITAS CITY COUNCIL
RECLASSIFYING ONE SENIOR ENGINEER POSITION TO CITY TRAFFIC
ENGINEER CLASSIFICATION
WHEREAS, the City Council establishes the classifications, titles and pay ranges
for the City; and,
WHEREAS, a review of the Senior Engineer position determined the
responsibilities to be that of a City Traffic Engineer classification; and,
WHEREAS, a salary review of cities in the Encinitas Labor Market with similar City
Traffic Engineer positions was conducted to determine the appropriate compensation
range; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to reclassify the Senior Engineer in the Traffic
Division to a City Traffic Engineer to better reflect the current duties and responsibilities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Encinitas that the reclassification of Senior Engineer to City Traffic Engineer (Exhibit A)
be adopted.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of November, 2019, by the
City Council of the City of Encinitas, State of California.
