CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 505 SOUTH VULCAN AVENUE, ENCINITAS, CA
1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Long called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m.
2. ROLL CALL
Present: Commissioners Elliott, Gjata (arrived late at 9:35), Goad, Kohl, Long and Warren
Absent: Commissioner Brady and Manager Saul
Also Present: Recreation Services Manager Karlen and Management Analyst Roff
There being a quorum present, the meeting was in order.

4. BREAK FOR TOUR (9:30 AM TO 2:00 PM)
Chair Long called for a break to begin the recreation programs tour.
Moonlight State Beach
Commissioners toured the Beach Programs with program information on the Beach
Volleyball Camp, Encinitas Beach Kids, Encinitas Junior Lifeguards and the City Surf
camps.
Encinitas Community Park and Youth Sports Organizations
Commissioners visited Encinitas Community Park, and Manager Karlen provided
information regarding Youth Sports Organizations.
Scout House
Commissioners provided information on Seaside Day Camp and ate lunch.
Encinitas Community and Senior Center
Commissioners provided with a facility tour and information on the youth and adult sports
programs. Commissioners were also provided with additional information on Senior Center
operations and programs.
ADJOURNMENT
Chair Long reconvened the meeting and adjourned the meeting at 2:00 p.m.
