2018-08 Amend Chapter 2.12 Conflict of Interest ORDINANCE 2018-08
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ENCINITAS, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING
ENCINITAS MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 2.12 REGARDING
CONFLICT OF INTEREST FILERS
SECTION ONE:
That Section 2.12.010 E is amended to read as follows:
E. This chapter intends to designate those public officials of
the City who are involved in City decisions, and to require
designated officials to disclose those financial interests (using
Form 700) which could foreseeably be affected, in a material
manner, by a City decision made by the official in the performance
of the official's responsibilities.
That Section 2.12.015 B.1 is amended to read as follows:
B. Biennial Review.
1. No later than July 1 st of each even-numbered year,
the City Manager or designee shall review this chapter.
That Sections 2.12.060 and 2.12.070 of the Encinitas Municipal Code are amended to
read as follows:

SECTION TWO:
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days after its passage and the
City Clerk of the City of Encinitas is hereby authorized to use summary publication procedures
pursuant to Government Code Section 36933 utilizing the Coast News, a newspaper of general
circulation published in the City of Encinitas.
This Ordinance was introduced on June 20, 2018.
