RESOLUTTON DFCL:IRING PERSONS ELECTED AT THE GENERAL
ELECTION IiELD IN SAN DIErrUITO ZRRIGATIOIJ DISTRICT ON
WF'DNESDAY, FEBRUARY 4, 1953
WHEREAS, persuant to the provisions of Division 2, Part
4, Chapter 21 Article 11 of the California lrrigation District
Laws, there was held in the San Dieguito Irrigation District
on Wednesday, Febuary 4, 1953, a General Irri~ation District
Election for the purpose of electing officers to succeed the
officers of said District whose terms will expire in March
next hereafter; and
WFiEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of said Division 2,
Part 4, Chapter 2, Article 1, of said California lrrigation
District Laws, the Board of Directors of said District has
heretofore designated the polling places in each of the voting
precincts of said District in which said Election was to be
held; appointed the elect3?on officials to conduct the Election
in each of the said voting precincts, and directed that the
polls be opened from 1:00 oiclock P.M. to 7:00 o'clock P.M.
on said day; and
WHPRFAS, the said Board finds and declares:
FTRST, That the Secretary of said Board, not less that Thirty
(30) days nor more than forty (40) days prior to said election,
had caused Notice to be published in a newspaper of general
circulation in said District, to-wit: The Encinitas Coast
Dispatch, setting forth the time and place of h.olding of said
Election and the narres of election off icers appointed for each
precinct in which said Flection'was to be held, and had also
posted a general notice of same in the office of said Board:
SECOND, That the said Election was held in each of the election
pre ncts in which an election vaas to be held in said District
in the places designated as thepolling places by said Board
of Directors and as specified in said notice of election; and
that the polls were open between the hours of one otclock, P.
M. and seven otclock, p.m. at each of said polling places as
directed by the Board;
THIRD, That prior to the opening of the polls at each of said
polling places, the said election ofricials took and subscribed
to the oaths required by law to faithfully perform the duties
imposed upon them b,y law;
FOURTH, That the ballots used in said Election were printed
and contained thereon as cadidates, only the names of persons
specified in nominating petitions i'iled with the Board of
Directors within the time specified by law;
FIFTH, That as soon as all of the votes were counted, a
certificate was drawn and made upon each of the papers con-
tair_ing the poll lists and tallies, stating the number of votes
cast and the number of votes received by each canaidate;
SIYTH, That each of the said certificates uvere signed by the
Inspector, Judge and Clerk constituting the Board of Election
in each of said precincts; .
SEVFNTt-i, That said certificates, together with the poll lists
and ta31y papers for each o1' said precincts were placed in
an envelope.which vvas sealed by the Inspector in the presence
of the Judge and Clerk in each of said election precincts,
endorsed "Election Returna of the San Dieguito Ir"r.igation
District" and directed to the Secretary of the said Board
of Directors and immediately delivered by the Inspector of
each of said precincts to the said Secretary and are on file
with the said Secretary at the present time; and

WHEREAS, from its canvass of said election returns the -
said Board of Directors find the results as follorvs, to-wit:
FIRST, That the total number of votes cast in said District

opposite their respective names, to-wit:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVE, that the Secretary be and h6 is
hereby directed immediately to make out and deliver to each
of said elected officers a Certificate of Election signed by
him and authenticated with the official seai of said Board.

been given to the State of California for delinquent and unpaid
taxes levied by the County of San Diego; and
t'VHEREAS, said property has also been sold for taxes and a
deed for-taxes has been executed by the Tax Collector of this
District conveying said property to this District for delinquent
and unpaid taxes levied by this District, as provided by law;
and
' W:HEREAS, pursuant to Section 3698 of the Revernze and
Taxation code, the County Tax Collector of San Diego County
has duly filed with the Roard of Supervisors of said County a
Notice stating his intention to sell the said properties at
public auction, for cash, for the minimum prices set after
the description of each lot, pioce or parcel thereof; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of San Diego County
has adopted a resolution approving the said sale;
NOtN, THERrOORE, t3 , IT RFSOLVED by the Board. of Directors
of the San Dieouito Irrigation District that said District
objects to the said sale by the County Tax Collector of San
Diego County of the real property hereinabove dexcribed and
the Secretary of this District be, and'he is, hereby directed
to file with the said Tax Collector of San Diego County and
with the said Board of Supervisors of San Diego County cert-
ified copios of this resolution.
