A PERSONNEL RESOLUTION OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENCINITAS
ADOPTING A LABOR RELATIONS AGREEMENT WITH
THE ENCINITAS FIREFIGHTERS' ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the Memorandum of Understanding for the bargaining unit
represented by the Encinitas Firefighters' Association expires December 31, 2009;
WHEREAS, Management representatives and Encinitas Firefighters' Association
representatives have met and conferred about an extension of the expiring 2006-2009
Memorandum of Understanding until December 31, 2011;
WHEREAS, the representatives of the parties have reached a Labor Relations
Agreement which extends the provisions of the 2006 - 2009 Memorandum of
Understanding for the bargaining unit represented by the Encinitas Firefighters'
Association until December 31, 2011 with no salary increases for either 2010 or 2011;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Encinitas
that a Labor Relations Agreement with the Encinitas Firefighters' Association for 2010 -
2011 (a copy of which is on file with the City Clerk and attached to the November 18,
2009 agenda report) be adopted for immediate implementation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby directed and
authorized to implement all provisions of the adopted Labor Relations Agreement
without further actions by the City Council.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Encinitas, State of
California, on the 18 1h day of November 2009, by the following vote:
AYES: Barth, Bond, Dalager, Houlihan, Stocks.
NAYS: None.
ABSTAIN: None.
ABSENT: None.
