1987-001 CAB boundaries RESOLUTION NO. 87-01
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENCINITAS,
CALIFORNIA, DESIGNATING BOUNDARIES OF COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARDS
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
California that the following boundaries for
Advisory Boards are hereby designated:
City of Encinitas,
the five Community
1. Leucadia CAB
The northern City Limits of the City of Encinitas from the Pacific
Ocean to the eastern City Limits; thence heading southerly and
meandering along the City Limits to its Juncture with San Diego
County Limits and the Ridge Line west of E1 Camino Real; thence
southerly along the Ridge Line including only that area west of
the Ridge Line within the City Limits to a point on the Ridge Line
of Union Street extended; thence westerly along Union Street
extended from the Ridge Line to the Pacific Ocean.
2. Old Encinitas CAB
From the Pacific Ocean easterly along the entire southern boundary
of the Leucadia CAB; that area within the City lying west of a
line going southerly along the City Limits line to the westerly
end of Wiegand Way and continuing southerly to Encinitas
Boulevard, thence easterly on Encinitas Boulevard to the east side
of Oakcrest Park; thence southerly to Santa Fe Drive; thence
westerly on Santa Fe Drive extended to the west side of Highway
101; thence south and west following the property line of
Yogananda Gardens t~ the Pacific Ocean.
3. Cardiff CAB
From the Pacific Ocean easterly along the southern boundary of the
Old Encinitas CAB to the Ridge Line west of E1 Camino Real and
east of Crest Drive; thence southerly along the Ridge Line turning
westerly at a point south of the end of Via Tempo to San Diego
Freeway; thence southeasterly along San Diego Freeway to the City
Limits; thence following the City Limits line to the Pacific
Ocean.
4. Olivenhain CAB
From the juncture of the Carlsbad City Limits and Encinitas City
Limits~ at Rancho Santa Fe Road thence heading easterly and
meandering all along the City Limits Line to its juncture with the
easterly boundary of the Cardiff CAB at the San Diego Freeway;
thence north along the east boundary of the Cardiff CAB to a point
on the Ridge Line east of Crest Drive directly west of the
juncture of Manchester Avenue and E1 Camino Real; thence east to
E1 Camino Real; thence following the Ridge Line northeasterly to a
point on Rancho Santa Fe Road of Springwood Lane extended; thence
northerly along Rancho Santa Fe Road to the point of beginning.
5. New Encinitas CAB
From the juncture of E1 Camino Real and Olivenhain Road easterly
along the City Limits to Rancho Santa Fe Road to its Juncture with
Carlsbad City Limits south of Avenida La Posta; thence southerly
along the west border of the Olivenhain CAB to its juncture with
the east border of the Cardiff CAB; thence northerly along the
remainder of the east border of the Cardiff CAB, the east border
of the Old Encinitas CAB and the east border of the portion of the
Leucadia CAB to its Juncture of the ridge line and northern San
Diego County Limits; thence easterly along the San Diego
County/Carlsbad City Limits line to the point of beginning.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this §th day of January, 1987, by the following
vote, to wit:
