A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ENCINITAS, CALIFORNIA, REGARDING
THE PROVISION OF A LEGAL DEFENSE FOR MEMBERS
OF CITY BOARDS, COMMISSION, AND COMMITTEES
BE IT RESOLVED by the City COuncil of the City of
Encinitas, that persons appointed by formal action of the City
Council to serve on the Planning Commission, Community Advisory
Boards, or any other Board, Commission, or Committee
established by ordinance or resolution of the City Council
shall be treated as "employees" for the purposes of Government
Code Section 825 relating to the City's obligation to provide a
legal defense for persons sued for matters related to the
performance of their responsibilities.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Encinitas this 10th day of November ., 19 87, by the
