RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
SAN DIEGUITO WATER DISTRICT OPPOSING
PROPOSITION 36 (JARVIS IV)
WHEREAS, Proposition 36 (commonly referred to as
Jarvis IV or Save Proposition 13) is a proposal which
would amend the California Constitution to severely restrict
the ability of water agencies to finance, maintain and
operate vitally needed facilities; and

Proposition 13 and will make substantial changes in the
ability of water agencies to adopt fees, charges and assessments,
thereby jeopardizing their ability to provide adequate
water supplies; and
WHEREAS, adoption of the initiative would adversely
affect not only water agencies, but the people they serve;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED that the Board of
Directors of San Dieguito Water District opposes the adoption
of Proposition 36 and urges its rejection at the polls
on November 6, 1984.
