1984-34 Supporting Proposition B on the November 6, 1984 Ballot Which Will Permit Construction of the Pamo Project
RESOLUTION NO. R84-34
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF SAN
DIEGUITO WATER DISTRICT SUPPORTING PROPOSITION
B ON THE NOVEMBER 6, 1984 BALLOT WHICH WILL
PERMIT CONSTRUCTION OF THE PAMO PROJECT
WHEREAS, the passage of Proposition B will permit
the San Diego County Water Authority to issue revenue
bonds to construct the Pamo Reservoir Project, consisting
of a dam in Pamo Valley which will create a reservoir
capable of storing 130,000 acre feet of water; and
WHEREAS, the project will directly benefit the San
Dieguito Water District, as well as other areas of the
county, by making available emergency storage facilities
which can be utilized in the event of the interruption
in the area's imported water supply and will help alleviate
shortages in dry years; and
WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the District and
the people it serves that the project be constructed and
put into operation as expeditiously as possible;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED that the Board of
Directors of San Dieguito Water District supports the
passage of Proposition B and urges a favorable vote thereon
at the November 6, 1984 election.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Board
of Directors of San Dieguito Water District held on the
24th day of September, 1984, by the following vote, to
wit:
