WHERFA<3, SAN DImJrro WATER DISTRIcr along with other public entities
in Califomia have been oonsidering the feasibility of self-insuring their
'i'brkers' Canpensation exposure; and
WHEREAS, these public entities have deteJ::rnined there is a need for a
self-insured system for Workers I Carpensation and desire to canbine their
reSJ;eCtive efforts to establish, o[:>erate and maintain an ADilA./JPIA Self-
Insured Workers' Crnpensation Program; and
WHERFAS, Title I, Division 7, Chapter 5, Article I (Section 6500 et seq:a)
of the Govemment Code of the State of California authorizes joint exercise
by tw:> or nore public agencies of any p::Mer ccmron to them; and
l'llV, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that:
1. SAN DI.EJ3UI'ID WATER DISTRIcr cancels its W:>rkers' Canpensation
insurance p:>licy with the State Canpensation Insurance Fund effective
July 1, 1984.
2. The Board of Directors of SAN DImJITO WATER DISTRICT hereby
elects to participate in the ADflA/ JPIA Self-Insured Workers' Carpensation
Program at a $2,500 Self-Insured Retention level and instntcts any officer
of the District as its duly authorized agent to execute on behalf of the
SAN DImJI'ID WATER DISTRIcr 1 any and all ~ts necessary to effect such
participation.
PASSED AND AOOPl'ED at a regular neeting of the Board of Directors of San
Dieguito Water District held on the 23rd day of April, 1984, by the following
vote, to wit:
