1987-15 Approving Change Order, Accepting Facilities & Authorizing Filing of Notice of Completion for Contract for Bonding of Joints of Pipelines
RESOLUTION NO. 87-15
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
SAN DIEGUITO WATER DISTRICT APPROVING
CHANGE ORDER, ACCEPTING FACILITIES AND
AUTHORIZING FILING OF NOTICE OF COMPLETION
FOR CONTRACT FOR BONDING OF JOINTS OF PIPELINES
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 87-1, the District
entered into a contract with Vadnais Corporation for the
bonding of pipelines from Escondida Creek to San Dieguito
Dam; and
WHEREAS, by reason of changes requested by the District
and unforeseen matters in conjunction with construction
of the project, certain additional work was necessary for
completion, the reasonable value of which was $15,229.46;
and
WHEREAS, all work on the project has been completed,
and it is in the interests of the District to accept the
facility;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, DETERMINED
AND ORDERED by the Board of Directors of San Dieguito Water
District as follows:
1. That the contract with Vadnais Corporation be
and it is hereby amended by adding to the contract the
sum of $15,229.46, and that payment of said sum, in accordance
with the contract, be and it is authorized.
2. That the District does hereby accept the facilities
constructed pursuant to such contract, and the manager
is authorized and directed to file with the county recorder
a notice of completion.
3. That upon expiration of 35 days from the filing
of the notice of completion, payment of all amounts due
and owing the contractor, less any sums that must be withheld
should any stop notices be filed, is authorized.
4. That nothing provided herein shall be deemed to
waive any warranties or guarantees of the contractor, as
provided in the contract.

of Directors of San Dieguito Water District held on the
27th day of May, 1987, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Directors Shea, Omsted, Gaines and Steel
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
(There is one vacancy on the board.)
