A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION, CITY OF
ENCINITAS, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, IN HONOR OF LEA KAUFLIN FOR
SERVICE AND CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION
AND THE CITY OF ENCINITAS
WHEREAS, Lea Kauflin was the first Administrative Secretary to the Planning
Commission òJtlze City ¡of l!ncinitas beginning in June, 1987 and continuing to August, 2001;
WHEREAS, Lea i,as recorded millions of words of facts and emotions presented in
testimony from numerous mel1tbers of the public; and
Wl:fEREAS. Lea has always maintained a positive, pleasa,nt attitude with the
Commission, staff and public and has gone far beyond the call of duty in her service to the
Planning Commission, including, but not limited tò, caming, from her home to the Civic
Center during her days off to make sure the agenda material for the meetings is secure and
dry;

of Encinitas are honored to have Lea assi'Sting in the Planning Commission meeilfiii.e";'~ll
after her retirementfrol1l the City of Encinitas;
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of
Encinitas to pay tribute to

for the FOURTEEN years of service and caring she contributed to the Planning Commission,
the City of Ellcinitas and ¡,er cO1l!mu,nity at large.
