RESOLUTION NO. 98-03
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF SAN DIEGUITO
. WATER DISTRICT APPOINTING JOHN DAVIS AS THE DISTRICT'S
REPRESENTATIVE ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE ASSOCIATION
OF CALIFORNIA WATER AGENCIES JOINT POWERS INSURANCE AUTHORITY
AND APPOINTING JACE SCHWARM AS ITS ALTERNATE REPRESENTATIVE
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. R79-5, San Dieguito Water District has
executed the JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT CREATING THE ASSOCIATION OF
CALIFORNIA WATER AGENCIES JOINT POWERS INSURANCE AUTHORITY attached
to said resolution; and
WHEREAS, Article 7 of said Joint Powers Agreement provides that said Authority shall
be governed by a board of directors which shall be composed of one representative from each
Member Water District, who shall be a Water District director selected by the governing board of
that Water District, and in addition each Water District shall appoint at least one alternate who
shall be an officer or employee of said District; and
WHEREAS, San Dieguito Water District desires to make such appointments;
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND
ORDERED by the Board of Directors of San Dieguito Water District as follows:
. 1. That John Davis, a member of the Board of Direc~ors of San Dieguito Water
District, be and he is hereby appointed as the representative of San Dieguito Water District on
the Board of Directors of the Association of California Water Agencies Joint Powers Insurance
Authority.
2. That Jace Schwarm, an officer of San Dieguito Water District, be and she is
hereby appointed as the alternate representative of San Dieguito Water District on the Board of
Directors of the Association of California Water Agencies Joint Powers Insurance Authority.
3. That in accordance with said Joint Powers Agreement, said representatives are
appointed for a one-year term and each shall serve until a successor is appointed. Each
representative shall serve at the pleasure of the Board of Directors of San Dieguito Water
District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Board of Directors of San
Dieguito Water District held on the 28th day of January, 1998, by the following vote:
AYES: Directors Davis, Bond, Cameron, Aspell & DuVivier
NOES: None

ABSTAIN: None
