1O1/Vulcan Avenue from Encinitas Boulevard to La Costa Avenue. DESCRIPTION:
Consideration of the draft North 101 Corridor Specific Plan. ENVIRONMENTAL STATUS: The
draft Specific Plan is within the scope of the certified Downtown Encinitas/N orth 101 Corridor
Specific Plan Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (City Council Resolution No. 94-
02) and no new environmental documentation is required for the purposes of CEQA. ST AFF

The Commission decided to remove the three mobile home parks west of Highway 101 from
the Specific Plan area and the parcel located directly north of Bunyard's property because this
parcel is oriented to Hermes Avenue, not Vulcan Avenue. The Commission also reviewed
Chapters 3, 4, 7, and 9. Chapter 7, Historic Preservation and Chapter 9, General Plan
Compliance were accepted while Chapter 3, Development Standards, and Chapter 4, Design
Recommendations, were continued. The January 14, 1997 meeting was canceled.
