1974-45 Authorizing Manager to Contract for New Data Processing System From Digital Equipment Corporation
RESOIDTION NO. R?4-45
AUTHORIZING IWIAGER TO CONTRACT FOR NEW DATA PROCESSING
SYSTnI FROM DIGITAl EQJIPIlENT CORPORATION.
WHEREAS, the San Dieguito Irrigation District currently operates a computer
installation for its own benefit and for that of Olivenhain and other public
agencies in the area;
AND 'iFfV,RJ:AR, it appears that a better computer system is available and a
proposal has been received from the Digital Equipment Corporation;
AND WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Manager and the staff of the
District that the present contract with NCR be terminated in accordance with the

provisions of the contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Manager of the District be, and he
hereby is, authorized to enter into a contract with the Digital Equipment
Corporation for the rental or lease of a Digital (DEe) Data System at a aaxi.mum
cost of 13,000.00 a month.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Manager be, and he hereby is, to terminate
the contract with NCR and to take other action necessary to complete the conversion
to the DEe system.
