RESOLUTION NO. R71-45
RESOLUTION REXlUESTING CORRECTION OF CLERICAL ERROR IN
1971-1972 ASSESSMENT OF RAILROAD PROPERTY
WHEREAS, Section 26625 of the Water Code of the State of California
provides for a written agreement fixing valuations for District assessments
different from State Board of Equalization valuations; and
WHEREAS, the San Dieguito Irrigation District, in October, 1958, entered
into an agreement fixing the valuation of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe
Railway Company right of way at $3,500 per mile or a total of $19,005.00 for the
5.43 miles annexed to the Districtj
AND WHEREAS, due to a clerical error occurring during the processing or
records for San Diego County to assess and collect San Dieguito Irrigation District
assessments for the first time in 1971, the aforesaid agreement was not reported to
the County Assessor-Collectorj
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the County Auditor and Controller and
the County Assessor and Collector be, and they hereby are, requested to adjust
the tax bills on the railroad right of way within the San Dieguito Irrigation
District assessment to reflect the valuations and assessments as provided in the
aforementioned agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the San Dieguito Irrigation
District be, and he hereby is, directed to send certified copies of this resolution
to the San Diego County Auditor and Controller, Tax Collector and County Counse~or.
