. RESOLUTION NO. 2004-29
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ENCINITAS, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH
FIRE PREVENTION SERVICES, INC.
The City Council of the City of Encinitas does hereby resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the City of Encinitas possesses vegetation that is extremely
flammable; and
WHEREAS, without vegetation management the City is at risk from catastrophic
wildfires; and
WHEREAS, effective fire prevention practices, such as weed abatement, will
minimize this risk; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to employ a Contractor to perform comprehensive
nuisance/weed abatement; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that Fire Prevention Services, Inc, is
qualified by experience and ability to perform the services desired by the City and is
. willing to perform such services,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Encinitas that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Fire
Prevention Services, Inc.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of May, 2004.
