2003-12 Establishing Speed ORDINANCE NO. 2003-12
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ENCINITAS,
CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS
WHEREAS, Section 40802 of the Vehicle Code requires that an Engineering and Traffic
Survey be conducted on non-local streets or highways where enforcement involves the use of
radar or other electronic devices,
WHEREAS, the City in 2003 conducted a comprehensive speed zone survey on non-local
street segments and has completed this Engineering and Traffic Survey in accordance with the
provisions of Section 627 of the Vehicle Code,
WHEREAS, the City has determined the reasonable speed limits for all streets listed in
the speed zone survey,
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Encinitas, California, does ordain as
follows:
SECTION ONE:
That the following speed limits within the City o£ Encinitas are hereby established:

SECTION TWO:
This ordinance was introduced on May 14, 2003.
SECTION THREE:
The City Clerk is directed to prepare and have published a summary of this ordinance
together with the votes cast no less than five days prior to the consideration of its adoption and
again within 15 days following adoption, indicating the votes cast.
